Privacy policy
How Novastar Academy collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit novastar.education, contact us, or enroll.
Effective October 15, 2026
Who we are
Novastar Academy is the name of one family of programs in Centennial, Colorado, run by three Colorado organizations: Novastar Kids Co (childcare at the Smoky Hill campus), Novastar Kids Co Inc. (childcare at the Arapahoe campus), and Novastar Academy, a Colorado nonprofit (elementary, middle school, and homeschool programs). Novastar Kids Co Inc. operates this website and our text messaging program. In this policy, “Novastar Academy,” “we,” “our,” and “us” mean these organizations. Questions about privacy: school@kidsco.education or (303) 219-2018.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address, and mobile number, and your choices on our forms
- Information about your child, such as age, grade, and any needs you choose to share
- The times you book for calls or campus visits, and anything you tell us in forms, calls, texts, or emails
When you type a mobile number or email address on our forms, we check that the number is a mobile number that can receive calls and texts, and that the email address can receive email, so our reply reaches you.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser type and version, and device information
- The pages you visit, how long you stay, and how you found our website (for example, an ad you clicked)
How we use your information
- To answer your questions, call you back, and schedule calls and campus visits
- To help you through enrollment and to provide our childcare and education programs
- To call and email you about your inquiry, and to text you if you ticked our optional texting box
- To improve our website and measure our advertising
- To meet our legal and licensing obligations
Text messages (SMS)
You can sign up for text messages from Novastar Academy only by ticking an optional texting box on one of our website forms that asks for a mobile number: the call-back request form at novastar.education/call-back, the “See your options” form, the form to book a call or campus visit, and the form to watch our “look inside” video. The box is separate from everything else on the form, is unchecked until you check it, and is never required: every form works the same whether or not you tick it. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of seeing your options, booking a visit, enrolling, or buying any service.
If you sign up, Novastar Academy may send you automated text messages about your enrollment inquiry, confirmations and reminders for the calls and campus visits you book, and enrollment updates, and our admissions team may reply to you by text. You receive one text confirming that you signed up.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out. You’ll get one text confirming it, and no more texts after that. Reply START to sign up again.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at school@kidsco.education or (303) 219-2018.
We keep a record of each texting sign-up (the date, the page and form, and the exact wording you agreed to) and of each opt-out, and we check for an opt-out before every text. See our text messaging terms.
Mobile information and consent
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We never sell, rent, or share your mobile number, your text messages, or your texting consent with anyone for their marketing. Your mobile number is never sent to Meta, Google, or any other advertising or analytics company, in any form.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure how well our ads work. We use the Meta pixel (from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram) and Google Analytics. These tools may record the pages you view, the actions you take (for example, booking a call), and device and browser details. When you send us a form, our server also tells Meta that the action happened (the Meta Conversions API), with your email address and name converted into a one-way code (hashed) first, plus your browser details. Your phone number is never included. Children’s details and the messages you send us are never sent to Meta or Google.
We also use PostHog, a product analytics service, to see how families use our pages and where our forms are hard to use. It records page views, clicks, and, on our enrollment pages, a replay of how the page was used, with everything typed into forms hidden. Once you send us a form, PostHog links your visits to your name and email so our admissions team can help you. PostHog does not run if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.
You can limit cookies and ad tracking at any time:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- Manage your Google ad settings and your Meta ad preferences
- Use the opt-out tools at YourAdChoices
Service providers
We do not sell your personal information. Companies that help us run our website and admissions receive only what they need for that work, on our behalf:
- Website and data: Vercel hosts this website, and Turso hosts our admissions database.
- Scheduling: Cal.com schedules calls and campus visits.
- Email: Resend sends the emails you ask for, such as booking confirmations and family page sign-in codes.
- Phone and texts: Twilio delivers our text messages to families who signed up for them and checks that a number is a mobile number. Kickbox checks that an email address can receive email.
- Advertising and analytics: Meta and Google, as described above.
- Staff alerts: our admissions staff use Slack, a private workplace messaging tool, to be alerted to new inquiries, bookings, and messages so they can call families back quickly. Alerts include a family’s name, contact details, and question. They never include texting consent records.
- Our contractor: Six Minutes Late Digital Solutions runs our website and admissions systems under contract. It acts only on our instructions and does not use family information for itself or for anyone else.
All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We may also share information when the law, our childcare licensing obligations, or the safety of children, families, and staff requires it.
Children’s privacy
Our website is meant for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. Information about your child comes from you, as a parent or guardian, and we use it only to provide our programs and services. We follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we have about you
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your personal information, unless we must keep it for legal or licensing reasons
- Stop texts (reply STOP to any text) or emails (use the unsubscribe link, or ask us)
To make a request, email school@kidsco.education or call (303) 219-2018.
How we protect and keep information
We use encrypted connections and limit who can see family information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy or as the law requires. We keep texting sign-up and opt-out records so we can honor and show your choices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page with a new effective date.
